Grown in the U.S.A. At The Great Mississippi Tea Farm in Brookhaven, MS, this is a black tea reminiscent of a lovely Assam tea from India, with large leaves, a mild astringency, and a honey gold liquor. The lingering sweetness of the tea actually makes one think of a bit of honey. The Great Mississippi Tea Company is among the current wave of pioneers trying to produce USA grown Specialty Tea in an economically viable way yet with the nuanced characteristics of what we think of as great tea. We think they are coming quite close!
